Why I LOVE Target

I am done Christmas shopping for this year. I'm done with birthdays too, including gifts for birthdays. I have been stalking Targets toy aisle for the past few weeks. I got the toys in the photo for 50% off, some were 75%. Why shop now? Well, Lily is still little enough to enjoy all these items, plus the savings are hard to pass up.

Three a.m.

No, its not the name of a band or a line from a song. Its the time I was awakened this morning. I didn't hear the normal "mommmmy", but a rather shrill scream that was like something out of a horror movie. I knew the problem the minute I opened the door. There is no mistaking the smell of vomit. Yes, she threw up. It scares her as she was crying and shaking. My poor baby! I yelled for Jeff and we commenced the clean up. We changed diapers and jammies, then put Lily in my bed while we finished. I'm so glad Jeff was helping...I tend to get sick myself when cleaning up this particular kind of mess. I'll gladly change poopy diapers everyday, but keep the puke away from me. She seems to be feeling fine this morning.

Where's Lily?

Lily is so funny! She had covered herself in her stuffed animals the other morning. She has Blue, Elmo, a kitty, a doggie pillow, cookie monster and a few others that you can only partially see. She loves her "people" as she calls them.

Going to see Dr. Jay

Lily's 3 year check up is this afternoon. I LOVE her pediatrician. His name is Dr. McDonald and he is the best! We got lucky that he was on call the night she was born. He is the most amazing doctor. Dr. Jay was very encouraging to me a brand new mom with lots of questions and concerns. He was great about answering even the "dumbest" of questions.

UPDATE 1/8/09 Lily had to get one shot. I was so proud of her, she didn't cry or anything. My little girl is growing up! She is in the 75th percentile for her height and weight. I think she will be tall like me.

My own personal Tinkerbell

When you have a 3 year old, you have your own built in entertainment 24/7. Lately, Lily has been Tinkerbell thanks to my sister who sent wings and a tutu (she also has a crown!). In the past she has been a pirate, dinosaur, kitty, dog, frog & bunny. I love all her characters.
